Regular Help

Education guide at MK Museum

Milton Keynes Museum has lots of school groups visiting on weekday mornings and we need volunteers to help with their guided tours.

School visits are broken down into small groups and have a guided tour by a volunteer in the morning between 9:30 and 12.

You are able to sign up to the dates that suit you rather than committing to a regular day.

Training is provided and you will be required to shadow an existing volunteer before being asked to lead your own groups.

What's involved?

You will take a small group of children round the museum, telling them about the time period and objects that they can see.  We have a number of tours available for schools which they request in advance.  All groups of children will be accompanied by at least one adult member of staff from the school.

Why get involved?

We are keen to increase the number of schools who can visit us and to do this we need more volunteers.
